events-roundtableThe Melville Chamber of Commerce presents the Business Resource Roundtable. The purpose of the Roundtable is to provide a forum for Chamber members to bring their specific business questions, issues or problems to a group of peers. Based on their knowledge & experiences, attendees offer possible solutions and/or identify available resources that may assist in the solution. Roundtable participants can request solutions, offer experienced advice, and assist each other in bringing their companies to a higher level of performance.

This is a free resource to Chamber members and will be hosted by a different chamber member business each month. Attendance is limited, so registering is required.

Presentation:

NYS Sexual Harassment
“Creating an action plan to comply with the new mandatory requirements”

In April of this year, Governor Cuomo’s budget included provisions for Mandatory Sexual Harassment training for all businesses in New York State.  Included in these new regulations are several other requirements that businesses must take action on in order to be in compliance.

Join Matthew Lucas from Big Step Coaching as he discusses the basic elements of these new requirements and how to create an action plan to get your company into compliance.  Big Step Coaching provides Executive Coaching services as well as Leadership and Training for small to mid-sized business, non-profits and government entities.  Matthew has been educating and training people for over 20 years in his roles in government and private industry.  You’ll leave this discussion knowing the exact steps your business needs to take to get into compliance with the law and reduce your exposure.

In addition to the presentation, we will have an open roundtable discussion regarding today’s trending local business developments.
