Bio of Keith H. Archer, Esq.
Keith Archer is a partner in the Melville law firm of Harras Bloom & Archer LLP. HBA represents clients in residential and commercial real estate matters, as well as complex civil litigation matters in state and federal courts.
Keith’s practice focuses on representing individuals and businesses in the acquisition and development of commercial and residential properties on Long Island. Many of the real estate matters involve obtaining land use and zoning approvals from municipal boards and governmental agencies. The firm also offers strong results-oriented litigation services in the areas of real estate and business disputes, including Article 78 proceedings and other land use and entitlement claims and disputes. Keith’s clients have been extremely varied, ranging from national retailers and shopping center developers to developers of senior housing projects, such as assisted living/congregate care facilities. With so many Baby Boomers aging out in the next few years, senior housing has become more and more in demand for a significant segment of the Long Island population.
Keith is active in several community organizations including Vision Long Island, where Keith is a long time member of its Board of Directors. Vision Long Island is a not-for-profit organization that advocates for and supports more liveable, economically sustainable and environmentally responsible growth on Long Island through its support for mixed use development and residential housing located near transportation centers. Keith has been a long time supporter of providing new housing development that is affordable to the younger generation and the Millennials born between 1980 and 1999, for whom the price of housing on Long Island has become out of reach.
Keith is also an active member of his synagogue, South Huntington Jewish Center, where he served as its President and has been a long time member of its Board of Trustees.
Keith received his Juris Doctor degree from the Benjamin N. Cardoza Law School where he was a member of its Law Review. Keith received a B.A. degree from Hunter College, from which he graduated cum laude.
Keith is admitted to practice law in the states of New York and Connecticut. He lives in Melville with his wife Debbie, who is an EMT and an active member of the Melville Fire Department. Debbie and Keith have two children, Andrew and Beth.
