About 511NY Rideshare:

511NY Rideshare is New York State’s home for carpool and vanpool ridematching, and commuter and traveler services. With 70,000 members in the rideshare database, and 10,000 businesses assisted since 2010, 511NY Rideshare continues to grow and expand its services throughout the State of New York.

Their mission is to improve mobility, reduce traffic congestion, and improve air quality in New York. They achieve this by making it easy for commuters and travelers to carpool, vanpool, take the train or bus, or bike to work (or elsewhere). They also partner with organizations to encourage their employees to make smart transportation choices, often-times leading to savings on payroll-related taxes, improved recruiting efforts, and increased employee productivity.

511NY Rideshare strives to provide localized information wherever possible. With an office on Long Island, and an outreach team consisting of born and raised Long Islanders, we are committed to improving the quality of life for the Long Island community.

511NY Rideshare is a vital feature of the free 511NY system that is building a smarter, multimodal transportation network coordinating road, train and bus information to get Long Islanders where they need to go. This smarter traffic system is a public benefit service sponsored by the New York State Department of Transportation.
