The Melville Chamber of Commerce was incorporated in 2001, originally established as the Melville-East Farmingdale Chamber. Since then it has evolved into one of Long Island's most influential business networks, promoting economic and business development through strategic collaboration among businesses, educational institutions, government entities, and community leaders.
Today the Chamber supports its members through networking events, professional development, business resources, and advocacy, helping companies of every size connect and grow across the region.
What we do
Four jobs, done all year
A Chamber is only worth the room it fills and the doors it opens. These are the four things the Melville Chamber commits to, and the calendar is where you can check the working.
Connect
Breakfasts, Business After Hours and the Expo put owners in a room together on a schedule, rather than leaving it to chance.
Advocate
The Chamber speaks for the Long Island business community with local government, and watches the legislation that lands on its members.
Develop
Panels, roundtables and peer groups run on subjects a working owner actually wrestles with, led by people who have done it.
Promote
A member directory, a news feed and event listings that put a member business in front of the region rather than only its own customers.

Who runs the Chamber

Executive Director
An accomplished business leader with more than 25 years of experience across the public and private sectors. As Executive Director he is committed to promoting the growth and success of local businesses, fostering community partnerships, and advocating for the needs of the Chamber's members.
Before joining the Chamber he held leadership roles in business development, marketing and strategic planning, with a record of building partnerships and creating solutions that drive business growth.

Where the work actually happens
The five groups above each run their own calendar. Alongside them, the Government Affairs committee handles advocacy and legislative monitoring on behalf of the Long Island business community, and it is the one that does not meet as an open networking group.
Committees are how members shape what the Chamber does rather than only attending it. Any member can ask to join one.
