Classes range from Scrabble strategy taught by a nationally ranked player to singing, staying strong as you age, and dating after 50. Admission is $7 in advance or $10 at the door, and veterans get in free with ID. Bring non-perishable food, a new toy or a donation for Angela's House and you earn raffle tickets. Huntington Lighthouse Public Tour
HuntingtonOne of the few chances all year to stand inside a working lighthouse in open water. Tours leave by boat from the Town of Huntington’s Gold Star Battalion Beach dock, with departures running from 11 a.m. through the last trip at 3 p.m. The outing takes roughly an hour and fifteen minutes and includes the ride out, a guided tour, time inside the lighthouse and a climb of the tower. Tickets run about $35 for adults, $30 for seniors 65 and over and $25 for children 5 to 12. Everything is weather and wind permitting, so check with the Preservation Society before you drive over.
